Time to Take Off the Gloves!

Militants? Can anyone imagine calling Nazi Germany militants? And yet, this is how the mainstream media refers to Hamas terrorists. The reason is that they want to appear even-handed, meaning they see some justification for Hamas' opposition to the state of Israel. This aligns with the leftist narrative that blames Israel for all Palestinian suffering since Israel declared independence as a sovereign state.

Palestinian ‘militants’ therefore have every right to use armed struggle to free their people from the occupation. Sure, sometimes they go too far - even  for the mainstream media. As was the case on the fateful October 7th day. As UN Secretary-General, António Guterres said in their defense, this did not happen in a vacuum.

Once again, this shows the absolute bias the left has against a nation the UN itself granted legitimacy to. A state established based on the existential needs of Holocaust survivors living in post-war DP camps with nowhere else to go.

Arab nations refused to concede any territory to the Jews, believing that the region should be fully Muslim. This refusal is what created what has come to be known as Palestinian refugees. Had they accepted the partition, Palestinians would have had their own state over 77 years ago. Instead, they tried to drive the Jews into the sea. And they have been trying ever since. That Palestinian refugees exist at all is entirely their fault.

Many indigenous Palestinian Arabs at the time were urged to flee Israel by the surrounding Arab nations, who told them they would be massacred if they stayed. Israel did push some of them out once the war began. Something they would not have done otherwise. But that is the nature of war. Israel had legitimate claims to all of the land. Palestinians believed their claims were legitimate. There was a war, and Israel won. Three times. It is long past time for Palestinians to accept this reality. And to recognize that Israel has treated its Arab citizens better than any neighboring Arab nation has theirs.

But they have not accepted this reality. Instead, they continue to dream of a Palestine free of Jews - from the river to the sea. There are very few, if any, who do not desire that outcome. And every step toward achieving that, no matter how violent, is celebrated as a victory. That is why an absolute atrocity like October 7th was celebrated by Palestinians in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria.

For this reason, I have come to the conclusion that there can be no peace through negotiations. There can only be peace through strength. I say this knowing full well that the leftist leadership of Europe and the Democratic Party in the U.S. still believes Israel should negotiate a deal for a two-state solution. Democrats seem to be naïve and ignorant of the abovementioned facts. And Europe's long, unabated history of antisemitism explains their view.

I still believe there are a few Palestinians who would be willing to live in peace with Israel under a two-state solution. But I am beginning to believe they are a minuscule number compared to the vast majority, who dream of expelling the Jews and reclaiming all of Palestine.

Israel has therefore done the right thing in trying to root out Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank towns that breed them. They have used a necessary heavy hand in doing so. And the mainstream media dutifully portrays them as Nazis hunting down innocent residents of  those towns. Destroying some of their infrastructure in pursuit of these savage murderers. How savage? Is there really a need to ask that question after October 7th?

But in case anyone forgot, they attempted something comparable last night, when terrorists presumed to be from the West Bank or possibly even Iran planted time bombs on three Israeli buses. They were scheduled to go off on Friday morning during rush hour, when the buses would be packed with people shopping for Shabbos. There would have been hundreds of casualties had the bombs gone off as planned. Apparently, they miscalculated and set the timers for 9 PM instead of 9 AM, so the buses exploded while empty.

I therefore believe that Israel must destroy every last vestige of every terrorist organization in the Middle East. I don’t care how they do it or how many innocent Palestinians (who praised October 7th) get killed. This is a fight for survival. I do not want to see another drop of Jewish blood spilled by these ‘militants’.

As far as I am concerned, the only thing stopping Israel is the hostages. Israel needs to get them all back before embarking on the goal of finishing them all off. And now that we have a US president that told Prime Minister Netanyahu that he can do what he wants in Gaza, there is no better time than now to do it. What about Europe? Who cares what they think. What about the left in this country? …the mainstream media? Same thing.

Yes! I am angry! Finishing them off ought to be  the goal. When they are finished Iran should be next! Until that is done, no Israeli can feel safe.
