Unfortunately I missed my flight yesterday. Fortunately I got rebooked to the same flight leaving today. Hopefully there won’t be any glitches this time.
I just wanted to share that despite the terrible circumstances in which our our trip ended, our stay in the Holy land was glorious. We got to spend some real quality time with the Israeli branch of the family. Our Great grandchildren are a joy to behold. The precocious 2 year old speaks English with near full sentences. (Yes. I’m bragging.)
As I await leaving for the airport, my thoughts turn to the brave soldiers ready to sacrifice their lives for our people. A number of which are children of my nephew and 2 nieces that live here. May God protect them all along with all the soldiers of Israel. And the IDF be successful in their mission to destroy Hamas and Jihad forever!
I will end with a link to the response to the terrorist slaughter of 1500 our people on Simchas Torah by the mayor of New York, Eric Adams. It is a must see. And yet again a reason that I am a proud to be an American. In my view, it was an MLK level speech that I will never forget.
If you’ve already seen it (which is quite likely) it is worth watching again.
